H. Chris Blount
Chris Blount serves as executive director of the Wilson Research Foundation, which connects state-of-the-art research to state-of-the-art patient care at Methodist Rehabilitation Center. The foundation's role is to sustain and grow the programs that make Methodist Rehab Center a regional and national center of excellence. Since its inception, the foundation has contributed nearly $5 million to MRC, with all gifts generated from local philanthrophic support. These funds, combined with more than $8 million in public and industry-sponsored grants achieved by our research scientists, have built a prolific, patient-focused research program that drives innovation and effective treatments at the center.
The foundation is conducting a fundraising campaign to sustain and expand the research program as well as cutting-edge technology used for therapy and research.
Blount is chairman of communications for the Mississippi Conference of the United Methodist Church. He serves on the board of directors of Goodwill Industries Mississippi, assistant district governor and a Paul Harris Fellow for Rotary International, and he is the current president of the Association of Fundraising Professionals state chapter. Blount holds two undergraduate degrees from Centenary College of Louisiana.
