Methodist Rehabilitation Center provides comprehensive medical rehabilitation programs for people with spinal cord and brain injuries, stroke and other neurological and orthopedic disorders and treats patients from all of Mississippi's 82 counties and other states. The 124-bed state-of-the-art hospital in Jackson is the only freestanding physical rehabilitation center in Mississippi. It is also the only Mississippi hospital twice named one of America’s best by U.S. News and World Report.

Brain Injury

As Mississippi’s leading provider of brain injury rehabilitation, Methodist has twice been designated a Traumatic Brain Injury Model System by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research.

Spinal Cord Injury

A skilled team of physicians, researchers, nurses and therapists familiar with every aspect of spinal cord injury work together at Methodist to help patients achieve their highest level of independence.

Stroke

As Mississippi’s only stroke-specific rehabilitation program, Methodist has provided more than 10,000 patients access to the most advanced stroke research, treatment and care available.

Post-Amputation

The orthotics and prosthetics division at Methodist uses a state-of-the-art lab and the most advanced computer-assisted technology to design, build and fit artificial limbs in a fraction of the time required by others.

Neurological Disease

A team of physicians, researchers and neuropsychologists work together to treat a wide range of neurological diseases and disorders which can cause problems with movement, speech, swallowing, breathing, learning, memory or mood.

Joint & Back Pain

A multidisciplinary team of physicians and therapists use a broad array surgical, non-surgical and interventional pain management treatment options to alleviate joint and back pain.

Orthopedics

Methodist offers comprehensive orthopedic services for people with a wide range musculoskeletal injuries. Our therapists specialize in manual therapy, soft tissue mobilization and myofascial release techniques to correct posture disorders, address soft tissue restrictions and treat chronic pain.
